8 pairs of nerves.  This is because the 1st pair of nerves are above the 1st A system is an organization of varying numbers&lt;br /&gt;and kinds of organs arranged so together they can perform&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;p&gt;complex functions for the body. The language of anatomical direction is important to be able to accuratly describe&lt;br /&gt;the human body so that anyone can understand th&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;e exact place in the body that is being referenced.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;b&gt; The body can be sectioned into one of the following three planes.
